Doctors Supply Phentermine Illegally In Hong Kong
Date: 1st June 2007
According to a striking revelation by pharmacists in Hong Kong , physicians out there have been prescribing Phentermine illegally to women since 2004 and further details confirm that bogus phentermine prescriptions are supplied even to women who don't need to lose weight at all.
According to education director William Chui, the irrational supply of phentermine prescriptions by the doctors in Hong Kong has resulted in the usage of phentermine by six to ten thousand people per day. He also adds that the diet pill phentermine shows certain side-effects like blood pressure, heart rate problems and to reduce these side-effects the doctors are also prescribing blood pressure and heart rate lowering medications along with the weight loss drug phentermine.
Divulging details regarding proper drug prescription, Henry Yeung, president of the Hong Kong Doctors' Union makes it clear that before prescribing phentermine, the physicians are required to check the patients` BMI and inform them the facts related to drug side-effects. According to William Chui, the doctors act against these instructions and double the 15 milligrams phentermine dosage in the obvious hope that it would accelerate the effects of phentermine.
The excessive usage of phentermine by the people in Hong Kong can be attributed to the craze over slimming that has spread completely into the Asian market in the last decade.
