Delta State University Vice President Convicted For Illegally Selling Phentermine and Other Drugs

Dr. Frank McArthur the Vice President of Delta State University was recently found guilty by the Texas District Court for attempting to illegally distribute and possess controlled substances such as the weight loss drug Phentermine, alprasolam and hydrocodone. Along with Dr. Frank McArthur, his acquaintance Dr. Salvatore DeFrank and son Dr. Bill McArthur were also held guilty by the court on account of unlawful drug distribution.
According to court charges, in between spring of 2004 to Sept. 20, 2005 , the accused along with his accomplices ran a call center to approve drug orders and carry out detailed consultation with the online customers of www.e-discountrx.com. The indictment charges thrust against the accused make it evident that from the call center Phentermine and other drugs were transferred to people without proper evaluation.
The charges leveled at Dr. Frank McArthur by the court also states that he provided names like Delta Health, Delta Health Network and Managing Associates for the call center and it was funded by www.e-discountrx.com. It was found that the accused used $1,136,150 to carry out the illegal drug activity.
Earlier, for the same offence Dr. Frank McArthur had to appear at U.S. District Court Northern District of Mississippi but was subsequently released on a bond of $50,000.
