The strength of our belief in righteousness, in God is something which motivates us to move ahead in our life struggle and also provides solace at troubled times. Whenever I remember the ordeal I went through in my life and how I overcame it, my faith in myself grows stronger and a certain kind of pleasure ripples throughout my whole body making me feel as if my life is complete and whole; like the sun up above in the sky.
I was 23 when I got married to David; one year senior to me in college after a year-long passionate romance. My married life with my husband was continuing smoothly and steadily and was purely blissful for the initial year. The next two years also went away happily but at the end of these two years cracks started to appear in our relationship. He started finding my faults repeatedly which annoyed me very much. Though I passed his remarks off as an outcome of his official pressure deep in my heart I knew that my husband was slowly and gradually drifting away from me, the only reason I could find was my physical looks which had changed drastically from what I looked at the time of my marriage. As a consequence, fatty and sugary food began to accumulate in my stomach and my body weight jumped up drastically, from 138 pounds to 166 pounds within just six months. Thereafter we got happily settled in Goa.
